OLISA METUH: “PRESIDENT JONATHAN IS A VERY GOOD PRODUCT”, AS PDP NATIONAL CONVENTION KICKS OFF TODAY

The national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said 3073 delegates are billed to participate in its national convention holding today in Abuja. The party added that the convention would officially produce President Goodluck Jonathan as its presidential candidate for the 2015 elections. Addressing a press conference at the party’s national secretariat yesterday in Abuja, PDP national publicity secretary, Olisa Metuh however said he is totally unaware if the presidential aspirant Akasoba Duke-Abiola is till in the race to challenge President Jonathan.

In his words, “We have a very good product to sell to Nigerians. We will win the APC, we urge the APC to give Atiku and Buhari joint presidential ticket but Mr President will still win based on his popularity, achievements in all sectors of the nation’s economy. With Mr President, our nation will continue in unity. We have never in our history witnessed what we are witnessing under this administration”. Metuh said the national convention would commence today December 10, where delegates will ratify the position of the party’s national chairman and its secretary while the party will tomorrow December 11, officially ratify President Jonathan as the party’s presidential candidate for next year’s general elections.
