ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN

JOB OUTLINE
Basic machine operation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform electrical wiring of generators.
Assembly of components and or manufacturing sheet metal components within a manufacturing environment ensuring safety, and quality guidelines are met.
Troubleshooting both electrical and mechanical faults after generator kitting process.
Perform Operations task as per documented processes and specifications.
Be responsible for Operation process at a work station.
Responsible for quality work at the assigned workstation.
Assist in development of standard operating procedures and work instructions.
Actively participating in plant continuous improvement projects.

Required Skills & Experience:
Ability to read and follow Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
Attention to detail.
Teamwork and Cooperation.
Judgment to be able to determine non-conforming components.
Good verbal and Written Communication in English.

Problem solving skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous knowledge of electrical wiring: Essential
Recognized Qualifications: Desirable
Senior Secondary School Certificate – Essential
Time served apprenticeship within a manufacturing environment – Desirable.
Previous experience in the automotive industry (manufacturing) will be advantageous

POWER GEN SALES MANAGER

JOB OUTLINE
Responsible for all sales activities and results for a specific line of business in a given territory or region. Develops sales plans and budgets for achieving sales goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages the sale of company products and services for a specific line of business.
Develops sales personnel, customer accounts, and providing co-management and training to regional sales force.
Establishes and implements sales plans as needed to support all target markets.
Achieves sales goals associated with revenue and profit targets.
Trains and manages existing sales organization dealers and new customers.
Develops and implements sales objectives, strategies, promotional programs and ensures their execution.
Provides reporting on forecasts, budgets, sales and distributor performance.

TECHNICIANS ON SITE

JOB OUTLINE
To carry out field repairs of Cummins engines on and off site

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Comply with Company and Government legislation regarding

H & S JSA (use of PPE etc)

Conduct maintenance of Cummins engines as well as to troubleshoot and diagnose faults

Repair engines within Cummins spec and Cummins SRT’s

Complete service reports accurately and timeously, Meet all warranty claims submission documentation requirements

Provide service ensuring quality workmanship at all times as well as completing repairs within Cummins stipulated timings

Establish/maintain good customer relations and ensure prompt and efficient attention to customer needs

Ensure new product training is carried out versus engine population

Company supplied tooling is maintained to the appropriate standards

Work overtime and after hours availability for call outs. Focus on customer service delivery.

Maintain work area and Service vehicles cleanliness, maintain accurate service vehicle travel logs and safety checks.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
At least 5 years’ post trade test experience as a Diesel Mechanic / Fitter

Extensive Cummins Product knowledge

Field service experience would be an advantage

Troubleshooting skills

Ability to think analytically and independently

Ability to complete repairs without supervision

Good administration skills

Heavy Duty drivers license would be an advantage
