One of Nigeria’s pioneering digital Music Channel, Music Africa, which started on STV before expanding their territory hosted a number of Nigerian A-List and fast rising acts at their resort, Chaka Beach Resorts, Eleko beach in Lagos. The venue did play host to the Music Africa Beach Splash event on the 21st of December, 2014.
Phillip Trimnell, Managing Director of Music Africa was there to co-ordinate the affairs of the day.
1. DEMMY D’MIC SPIRIT’S RED CARPET INTERVIEW.
Lagos based, Ekiti Royal blood, Afro-pop artist, Demmy D’Mic Spirit [Real names; Oyebade Olusola Ademola] took the Red carpet by storm when he walked in to the carpet and intelligently answered all the questions thrown at him. The little game of Carpet Fritz also had the well built entertainer apply his brains once again as he outsmarts the 2 lovely carpet hosts. He basically left the hosts dazed at multiple points as they stuttered and searched for what next to ask him. Smart artist one would say.
2. ORITSHE FEMI’S STAGE PERFORMANCE.
Though his performance was delayed till late in the evening, The recent Headies Winner came up on stage in a touch of gold metals on his all black outfits. He started off with his “Mercies of the lord” track, one we could consider to have being his debut before venturing into different songs of his. He had the crowd at their loudest so far in the course of the event. Lastly, his special tribute to his arm-wrapped manager, Sanko, who suffered the same accidental plight that saw to the damage of his newly acquired expensive automobile increased cheers from the fans and crowd present.
3. LAGOS BIKERS STUNTS DISPLAY.
The Lagos bikers group were present at the wee hours of the evening to entertain the crowd with their stunts display, as they flipped, skid and drifted all in the flair of exhibiting their artistic skills.
4. HERDSODUX DANCE GROUP.
1,2, step by Ciara must have been basic, The Herdsodux dance group, a crew of 7, mainly girls, came out in their uniformed apparels and shook the stage vigorously. They Stepped, Crunked and even went as deep as acrobatics as the remained aced in their choreography and impressive with their individual display.
5. LOLO1 AND OGBOLOR ON STAGE
The combination of Lolo1 and Ogbolor on stage as the compere of the day did come out handy after a long while, when DJ Bobbi rolled in tracks for the comperes to dance together. Though a couple of the first few dances wasn’t thrilling, their dance to Skale’s “shake body” sure sparked up the lost humour as the crowded laughed and cheered their way through.
