Totteham striker, Emmanuel Adebayor has returned to England to resume training after being granted indefinite compassionate leave by the club.
The Togo striker, asked for time off and missed the Europa League game against Besiktas and the Premier League victory over Swansea City, telling Spurs that a family member was seriously ill.
Tottenham had announced on Twitter last week that “Emmanuel Adebayor has been given permission to return home for personal reasons. This is a private matter and so we will not be providing any further comment.”
Adebayor was recently involved in a bizarre row surrounding ‘juju’ – a form of witchcraft – during which his mother was accused of placing a curse on him, but his brother later claimed that spiritual healers had “brainwashed” Adebayor.
Adebayor was then moved to deny accusations that he had kicked their mum Alice out of his house in Africa because he thought she had performed curses on him.
