Ace Musician, Teemac: “Why Jonathan Is A Better Candidate Than Buhari”

By Dr. Omatshola Iseli a.k.a Tee Mac
My dear Facebook friends, I am getting many messages asking me my opinion about the two Presidential Candidates and I always state that as the Chairman of the Entertainment Foundation I have to maintain a neutral position and do not belong to any political party. This doesn’t mean I should not have an oppinion. I am blessed that through my profession I have met apart of the Prime Minister Balewa all Nigerian Head of States and Presidents. I have met President Goodluck Jonathan as deputy Governor, as Governor, Vice President and as President. I have always liked his humble, listening behavior.
I admire his sincerity and everything we discussed he has implemented it and re-confirmed to me. I wish every Nigerian could have one hour with him and believe me the outcome of the election would be 100% for him as a President ( not PDP). I have met General Buhari over the years before his cup and in 1983 had a meeting with Brigadier Idiagbon (his son was being treated in my health farm ). Buhari was unfriendly, cold and told me he has other priorities than to help and listen to musicians. ( I was discussing lower import taxes for music equipment). I lost in 1984 my Cameroonian Bass player and my Ghanaian Drummer and Keyboard player due to “Ghana must go”. I decided to leave Nigeria and did not come back for a few years.
I have carefully read the last few weeks all the reports about both candidates and realized that PDP is not putting out enough of Goodluck Jonathan’s achievements which would balance his government’s shortcomings. Also I read the promises of APC and wonder how are they going to pay for all that with the oil price on his lowest in 5 years. It is easy to promise and put the other party down, but the reputation of the leaders of APC is not better than the reputation of the PDP. At least the Goodluck Jonathan Government has a program and if given 4 years we can see if they are able to implement it. I am not canvassing votes for Goodluck Jonathan but as a Nigerian being asked my opinion I would really love my FB friends to put down their views in a reply message. Please be factual and polite. Let’s exchange our views in a civilized manner. I thank you in advance for your input. God bless you and God bless Nigeria!
