The bullet from a local vigilante’s gun reportedly hit a white Toyota Coaster bus, marked Ogun 12 OGGH, conveying Ogun State commissioners and the governor’s senior special assistants. The bus was said to be few metres away from the governor’s vehicle. Amosun, his aides as well as supporters of the All Progressives Congress were on campaign tour of Ifo Local Government Area when the shooting occurred at about 10.00pm on Wednesday.
Though none of the government officials was ruffled by the incident, the bullet made a hole on the side of the bus. The Commissioner for Forestry, Adebayo Faari, was said to have sat directly at the side where the bullet hit the bus.Soon as the bullet hit the bus, the security men in the convoy immediately rushed to the scene and dispossessed all the vigilantes of their rifles. When contacted, the Public Relations Officer of the Ogun State Vigilante Service, Soji Ganzalo, confirmed the incident but said the incident occurred when a security officer from the convoy alighted from his vehicle and was trying to take away the rifles belonging to members of the OSVS.
