Ex-minister, Musiliu Obanikoro, calls for INEC chairman’s resignation
Former Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro. has called for the resignation of INEC chairman, Prof. Attahiru Jega. Speaking on Classic 97.3FM this afternoon, Obanikoro said, “Jega has failed! He should resign.There was a time I wrote a petition to Jega when I was still Minister. Jega did not even acknowledge it.Jega’s arrogance of power has no place in public office.” Obanikoro on the #EkitiGate rigging tape added that, “I say it on my honour as a Muslim that I never participated in any election rigging in Ekiti state.The entire media both locally and internationally were in Ekiti. Nobody saw any violence or rigging in Ekiti.” In another development, Prof. Attahiru Jega is currently in a meeting with Chief Security Officers in Abuja.
