Rivers APC guber candidate, Dakuku Peterside, narrowly escapes death

Hon. Dakuku Peterside, the Rivers APC guber candidate, narrowly escaped death yesterday when multiple explosions hit the party’s rally at Okrika National Secondary School Field in Okrika Local Government Area of the state. 

Following the explosions and sporadic gunshots, Peterside was said to have been whisked away by security operatives. In a related development, Peterside has disclosed the number of casualties involved in the incident. In his words, ““Five police officers were shot. One of them is dead and four are lying in critical condition at this hospital.”

Meanwhile the brave Channels TV reporter, Charles Eruka who was forced to take cover, lying with his stomach on the ground, was stabbed in the leg by unidentified attackers.
