Yemi Osinbajo: “APC has always been ready for general elections”

The vice-presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Yemi Osinbajo, yesterday in Lagos said the party is ready for the general elections, saying the insecurity issue raised by the country’s security chiefs should not have led to the shift.Speaking in Lagos shortly after unveiling a 50-metre banner, a specimen of what the youth wing of the party produced to be displayed by over 300 campaigners in major cities across the country, Osinbajo said: “In the APC, we are ready for the general elections. Nigerians are eager to see a change of government at the presidency. Nigerians are tired of the PDP government at the centre”.

He further said, “We have always been ready for the elections. The insecurity issue raised by the security chiefs does not hold water. We all witnessed it when elections took place in Afghanistan and Syria where there were war situations. Nothing should stop the elections in the first instance, particularly where INEC had told the world that it was ready. The APC is ready, I am ready for the elections”.
