Juicy prizes await winner of Nigeria Idol 5

The Season Five of the Etisalat-sponsored Nigerian Idol reality TV show hit the screens for the first time recently. It was, no doubt, an interesting show that had millions of viewers glued to their television sets.

As part of the opening episode, Etisalat and the organisers of the show highlighted a series of activities from the audition, ranging from the personal compositions of the contestants and performances to comments from the judges and the talents at each location.

The show also saw contestants returning from past seasons to audition in the ancient city of Benin. Many of them received instant approvals and golden tickets from the judges. One of the contestants who made it to the Top 12 in Season 4, Ese Amadasaun Idowu, a.k.a Next2, auditioned in the Edo State capital. His outstanding performance earned him the admiration of the judges and a golden ticket as his reward.

Speaking about the show, Modupe Thani, Head Events and Sponsorships of the telecommunications company said, “Now that we have our top 100 contestants in the house, we are currently putting them under series of trainings before the start of the live stage performances.”

This season, the winner of Nigerian Idol will be rewarded with N7.5 million cash reward, a brand new car, a recording deal with Universal Music Company worth N7.5m among other prizes.
