Agasha Junction is along Makurdi-Gboko Road, where there has been resurgent of violent attacks by suspected Fulani militia.
The man, who had yet to be identified as of the time of filing this report, was said to be another victim of “sudden attacks” in the area.
It was gathered that several dead bodies had been discovered around the area in the past weeks.
PUNCH Metro learnt that some residents had abandoned the area and had relocated to neighbouring communities for fear of the unknown.
A resident, who gave his name as Tor, told our correspondent on the telephone that there was palpable tension in the area.
Tor said, “Many people living here are now relocating to places they feel are safe in order not to be taken by surprise.”
However, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Austin Ezeani, said he had no information on the attacks.
He said, “If there are such attacks in the area, they have not been reported to the police.”
