The real reason why Don Jazzy, Dbanj and Wande Coal reunited at that Birthday party

The iconic Mo’Hit Records might be no more but that would not stop its former label mates – Don Jazzy, D’banj and even Wande Coal reunited two nights ago,  March 11, 2015 to sing ‘Pere’ at the 50th birthday of Segun Oniru in Lagos.
The classic event for the man who is the Lagos State Commissioner for Waterfront Infrastructure Development, held at Eko Hotel and Suites in Victoria Island.

Just so you know, there is no reunion whatsoever between ‘em.
Here’s the real connection.
According to NET,  the celebrant, Segun Oniru, a Lagos prince, is reputed as D’banj’s godfather and one of the big men behind the Kokomaster for years. In fact, word on the street is that he was financially responsible for the coming to Lagos of Amber Rose for D’banj’s 10th anniversary kick-off party.
The celebrant is best of friends with Folly Coker (believed to be the sponsor of Don Jazzy and Mavin Records), so the connection is tight as these are men who have over the years been instrumental to the success of the 3 music stars and have invested in their brands and careers over the years. The least they could do was to honour him with a surprise performance on the occasion of his Golden Jubilee….
