Nigeria Football Federation General Secretary, Mohammed Sanusi says the Flying Eagles’ have been rescheduled owing to travel hitches.
Manu Garba’s team were billed to hit the European nation on Wednesday to continue preparations for the 2015 Fifa U20 World Cup.
Though a new date has not been set by the NFF, Sanusi assured that preparatory programmes for the African champions will not be disrupted in any way.
“The team will travel very soon but there is a slight challenge in the travel arrangement. The New Zealand visas will be switched in South Africa because we do not have New Zealand Embassy in Nigeria,” Sanusi said.
“So when, we went to South Africa to get New Zealand visas, the Embassy was on holidays and will resume on the 20th.
“Once we secure the visas we’ll take them to the German Embassy for another round of validation process,” he concluded.
Nigeria will face Brazil, Hungary and Korea DPR in the preliminaries of the World Cup in New Zealand.
