Buhari moves to pacify Tinubu

There are indications that following the crisis rocking the All Progressives Congress(APC), President Muhammadu Buhari is said to be considering cementing his relationship with former governor of Lagos State, Senator Bola Tinubu. Following the management of the National Assembly leadership crisis, Tinubu is said to have angry by Buhari’s failure to back its strategies that would have ensured the emergence of candidates of the party for the positions of Senate president and Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Following this fallout, Tinubu’s loyalists fingered Buhari’s men in the showdown that led to the emergence of Senator Bukola Saraki as senate president and Hon. Yakubu Dogara as House of Representatives speaker. Though Tinubu is not a member of NEC statutorily, Buhari has resolved to pacify Tinubu so that the party would not break up. To this end, the presidency is considering giving Tinubu 4 ministerial slots to compensate for the loss of speaker and Senate president.
