Fire outbreak at Senate President Bukola Saraki’s Abuja home

Earlier this morning, there was a fire incident in the sprawling residence of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, in the Maitama area of Abuja on Friday, though no casualty was recorded.

Heavy smoke was seen coming from inside the gymnasium of the senate president and the attention of fire service officials was drawn to the fire.

They quickly mobilized themselves there to put the fire under control.

Confirming the incident, the Special Adviser to the Senate President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Yusuph Olaniyonu, said the incident was caused by an electric spark from one of the air conditioners in the gym.
