As part of the passage rites for Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuwade,members of different fraternity groups yesterday arrived the Oduduwa shrine at Ile-Ife to perform the transition rites on the remains of the first-class king. All the heads of the fraternity groups which the monarch belonged to were in the shrine to perform their separate rites. Also similar passage rites went on in various sacred forests in Ife yesterday. Some of the deities invoked yesterday include the Osogun, Obalara, Lana and Emese said to be operating under the Isoro deity. Following these rites, it is expected that the passage of the first-class king may be announced soon.
