Ebola is introduced into the human population through close contact with the blood, secretions, organs or other bodily fluids of infected animals.

Ghana Government last Thursday directed the release of GH<6 million to fight the world’s deadliest epidemic which has no known cure. Government also announced plans to procure 10,000 protective gears for frontline workers in health, immigration and other agencies who are most likely to encounter a possible victim. “Also, the President advised that consistent with the decision of the ECOWAS Commission that all meetings and missions be suspended unless absolutely essential and well-guided, a three (3) month moratorium be placed on all international conferences and international gatherings which have the potential of spreading the Ebola Virus,” the Minister said.

ABOUT THE RISING PROFILE OF GHANA’S FEMALE DANCEHALL ARTISTE, A.K SONGSTRESS

The first ever collaboration with an African artiste by the ace reggae, ragga and dancehall artiste Sizzla Kalonji is with the forever growing Ghanaian dancehall artiste AK Songstress of Paradise Entertainment. This is the first time such a musical project is been undertaken by any African artiste with the Bobo Shanti reggae artiste, after an intensive lobbying that ensured himself and AK Songstress. The ace musician decided on Ghana finally after carefully monitoring the prowess of the Ghanaian dancehall in the art. The single is dubbed ‘Ghetto Cry’ which touches on certain vital issues that worries the society.

The much awaited international collabo was produced by Riddim Boss, mixed and mastered by the Grammy Award producer Bread Back. The project was recorded and mixed in Jamaica and it has the international touch the industry has always been yearning for. Ghetto Cry comes as the next bang from AK Songstress after the one with Patoranking thereby raising the flag of Ghana high on the international scene with the art of music. As stated above, this is the first collaboration done by the 70 album dancehall artiste Sizzla Kalonji with an African artiste. Per the beliefs of the Bobo Shanti artiste with regards to the repatriation to Africa, this debut was worth it as it touched on the plights disturbing his roots. This therefore makes the name songstress (AK) unchallenged when it comes to dancehall in Ghana. The strength of her abilities to write thrusts on doing what will take a few artistes to do.
