This popular politician who doubles as a Pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) hopes to achieve this dream under the platform of the Labour Party. After series of consultation and considerations, “Omooba Nbo” as Yanju is fondly called threw his hat into the ring for the 2015 guber poll in the state. Few weeks after stories hit town that Prince Yanju has agreed to run for Ogun governorship on the platform of Labour Party, the political equation in the Gateway State is beginning to change. Prince Adeyanju Lipede is the Chairman, Solution Media and Infotech Ltd, and former Chairman, Abeokuta-South Local Government. He is a die-hard loyalist of ex-Governor Gbenga Daniels. Since the beginning of his campaign, he has been rocking Abeokuta with his posters and billboards with the slogan, “Omooba Nbo”. Every Sunday his followers and other political associates meet in his Ibara Housing home where he doles out 25,000 naira cash to one hundred people, so also he does in Ijebu and Yewa.

The Balogun of Egbaland, Alhaji Sikirulai Atobatele is in happy mood at the moment, as her last wife, Veronica gave birth to a baby girl recently. Few years ago, Balogun got married to the lady who was a regular face on OGTV, and the union has been blessed with a baby girl. Last week it was a gathering of the movers and shakers in Abeokuta at the naming ceremony at Balogun’s Ibara Housing home as guests were given a royal treat with lot to eat and drink.

Tunji Ibikunle is a big boy. He’s a former bank manager, and the brain behind Richton Hotel and Suites, managing the hotel, and the two clubs inside its premises. Tunji has joined the PDP, and he is eyeing a seat in the Ogun State House of Assembly come 2015.
