YOUTHFUL YEARS AND EDUCATION
Young Isaac was extremely lucky to have been sent to school by his beloved uncle, late Chief Peter Abubakar Majin (Majin Essan), who had to wrestle with his mother to allow Isaac to acquire western education. At that time, Isaac’s grandmother (Nna Leah Kaka Patigi) was not in favour of western education for any of her grandchildren. Instead, she wanted them, like her, to be In the trading business. Luckily, with the help of one evangelist Samuel Ndaba Jiya Kuchi and Rev. Mamman, who mounted pressure on his grandmother, she conceded.

HIS FAMILY
Chief Isaac Majin married his lovely wife on April 14, 1979 and their union produced 6 children. ‘Chief’, as his wife fondly called him, would say he was attracted by Folake’s long hair and broad smiles. There is no way of talking of Chief Isaac without mentioning his uncle and close confidant, who he loved dearly: late Baba Peter A. Majin. His uncle would regularly take him to school on his bicycle from Essan to Bida and back. Along the way, Chief Isaac helped his uncle (later the Majin of Essan) train his 9 children (whom Isaac held as his brothers and sisters). He also helped other relations, particularly from Essan.

One of the things Chief Majin loved most was his family, including his cousins. He was very passionate about their upbringing. No wonder he ensured the education of each one through to university level (to whatever level they desired). In his hale and hearty days he would spoil each one of them with affection in diverse ways. E.g., taking them out on Saturdays or Sundays for special treatment or to recreational spots sometimes abroad. Chief Isaac was very proud to be part of the Majin family and worked very hard to build a high reputation within and outside Niger State.
