“Why The 5 APC Presidential Candidates Will Sign Undertakings”

Ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election coming up on Dec. 10 and Dec. 11, the party has directed its five presidential candidates to sign an undertaking.The 5 presidential candidates namely Gen. Muhammad Buhari, Governors Rochas Okorocha and Rabiu Kwankwaso, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Sam Nda-Isaiah passed through the screening on Tuesday and came out successful.

Chief Ogbonnaya Onu, who oversees the screening committee of the APC stated this on Wednesday following yesterday’s presentation of certificates to all the aspirants who scaled through the party’s screening. According to Onu, “Yesterday we met for hours with the aspirants. During that exercise we found these men to be so distinguished that there’s not one that won’t make great difference for the country.

“During the screening, we took the members through a very rigorous path; we tested their understanding of the nation’s problems and I’m happy, satisfied with the quality of people running for president on the APC platform. We want our aspirants to sign letters of commitment to the party to assure the party that they’re running to offer service and also for the losers to support the winner by collapsing their structures into the party so that the party can move into the elections united.”
