The name Bosun might not ring a bell in Ekiti but the family name Osuntokun is one of the prominent name in Ekiti that cut across both politicial and social circuit. The Osuntokuns hails from Okemesi in Ekiti west local government area of Ekiti state. Bosun is the younger brother to Bashorun Akin Osuntokun a veteran journalist and politician. He was former S.A Political to former President Obasanjo. Bosun is a core grassroot politician, having served as secretary of Ekiti West Local Government, he was appointed Commissioner 1, Ekiti Local Service Commission where he was given the vice chairman post both during Segun Oni’s administration. He has also serve as member election committee for the 2014 Ekiti Governorship election both at the state and his local government level. Just last year he was appointed Chairman, National Assembly Screening Committee and Chairman National Assembly Primary Election both in Uyo. Akwa-Ibom State. Aside been a politician, he is the Chairman/CEO Shumtok Nig Ltd, a Civic Engineering Construction Company with head office in Ekiti State. He is a close associate of Gov. Fayose and a strong active member of PDP in the state.
