Soyinka, Akinkugbe and Olunloyo shared a dormitory at Government College Ibadan at 13. Olunloyo served Nigeria 40 appointments in 51 years out of 100. He was famous for 3 of them. Commissioner for Education of Western state who ripped Newton College and International School Ibadan. He gave the Americans an ultimatum to accept Nigerians or close up. They closed. ISI had no black teachers. He made them stop the oyinbo only teachers and reduce school fees for Nigeria kids from 540 pounds considered a lot at the time to discourage our kids from enrollIng in their fancy school in OUR COUNTRY. Olunloyo at 27 managed 8 states in the Western Region as Commissioner for Economic Planning. Finally the 3rd as 90 day Governor and first Nigerian politician to arrest an NPF officer collecting a bribe from him. He created sanitation in Nigeria and the Yellow Fever traffic men when he was traffic committee chairman in the largest city in West Africa. The rest 37 appointments in my book for his 80th birthday 2015.
