‘President Jonathan has no plans to hold elections’ – Senator alleges

The senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial District, Senator Bukola Saraki has alleged that President Goodluck may have no plans to hold the general elections slated for 28 March, and 11 April 2015. Making this disclosure in a series of tweets, Saraki said, “Nigerians beware. President Jonathan has no intentions to hold election. He offered Asiwaju Tinubu VP on interim govt. Join hands to say no.”

In another development, some groups, including the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC), plan to hold a massive protest in Lagos on Monday against the continued stay in office of the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Attahiru Jega. Similar protests held in Rivers, Delta and all five South East states, on Friday, and were staged by hundreds of persons who claimed to be members of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB).
