*****
Let’s talk about your new song Abiamo?
First, I thank God for the inspiration and I’ve always wanted to do a song for mothers. You know there are several songs dedicated to mothers out there, so I wanted to do a proper song for mothers to appreciate them but most times when I hit the studios to record I always end up crying, but this one came out pure and different, the chorus came out first and I just kept on it, put the words together.
How would you describe your relationship with your mum?
I’m very close to my mum. Like they say your mum is like ur small god, and mine is very special, she prays for me a lot. Though while I was growing up we were apart for sometime, I only got to see her during breaks but somehow they got back together and we spend a lot more time together now.
What’s the difference in your relationship with her before u became a star and now that you are popular, has anything changed?
I think now that I am Sean Tizzle I get to appreciate her mum, even though I want to speak with her more but I don’t have the time and I always make her understand my schedule. I realate with her very well.
What’s the biggest gift you’ve ever given your mum?
Truth is there’s a lot I plan to do for my mum, so it’s not what I can just say just like that. But the most important is to keep making her happy and not soiling the family name. Even this song is a gift to her.
Recently your label signed 5 new artistes, how do you feel about that?
It’s a good thing, we are growing, it shows growth. It shows the blueprint we have is a good one, but at the same time I’m Sean Tizzle and nobody can take that away from me and I’m grateful to God that we can actually put these new artistes on board.
Are you absolutely happy with the new signings?
Yea sure, no beef at all. I knew about the whole process, it’s about the music, it’s about the Label not falling or nose-diving.
So why have you launched the Tizzle Nation campaign?
The Tizzle Nation has been a movement from Day 1. At the end of the day, what I have with Difference Entertainment is a contract, some people sign for 3, 4, 5 years and after that if you want to move on you move on, if you want to stay you stay, so I think the same people should wait for me to decide if I want to move on, stay with the label or whatever the situation is, but whatever it is I hope it’s for good.
If you eventually leave Difference Entertainment, will you keep working with DTunes?
Yea, that’s my brother, I’ve been working with D’Tunes before Difference Entertainment and we’ll still keep working even when I comot, of which I no say I wan comot o. For instance my latest song Abiamo is produced by D’tunes which simply shows that we are still very good. There’s no friction at all.
Will you be dropping an album this year?
No, not at all, I just want to drop a couple of singles, my album will drop next year, and people should expect something extra special, you know I’ve done it before and it’ll only get better. The album will probably drop on February 22, next year. You know that date is very special to me, it’s the date I dropped my very first single ever ‘Sho le’ in 2013.
Any Marriage plans?
Noo, not yet. I’m not ready to get married yet. Most times they say it’s when you get married that things will start popping and rolling in, but for me I prefer to have everything set before getting married.
Is there a child somewhere?
Nooo, there’s none for now, but I don’t know what’ll happen in future, I’m trying as much as possible to be responsible and straight forward, so for now I’m still taking my time.
Who is your Celebrity crush?
All of them, I would have said Tiwa Savage, but she’s married so the crush is dead because she’s now somebody’s wife, and really there are so many of them. I like Mocheddah too, she’s beautiful and sexy, but she has a man already, and you know all these things are no go areas, so that’s why I said all of them.
