By the time Abdulaziz Musa-Yar’Adua rolls out his political drums to vie for the governoship seat in Katsina, he would have completed the move of the Yar Adua family from PDP to APC. Recall that the former President who was Abdulaziz’s elder brother contested for and won the presidential race on the platform of the PDP. Since then, the family seems to have parted ways with the party despite the fact that one of them even served as a minister under President Jonathan in the days immediately after the death of the last man to die in the Presidential Villa. Abubakar Sadiq another member of the family is already in the senate on the platform of the APC and there is no denying the fact that he is likely to pick the ticket again. If Abdulaziz dream of governing Katsina comes to reality, he would be the first case of siblings from the same family to govern the same state.
